This film festival only costs $10 per person to attend, and just like last year, you’ll get a host of wonderful films celebrating Iranian culture to view. Last year, Asghar Farhadi’s The Salesman, first screened at this event, went on to win the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. On Saturday, January 20th from 5 PM to 5 PM at the Backyard Wildlife Resource Center in Cedar Hills, Texas, fans of CSI investigations will have the chance to learn about how detectives analyze fingerprints, and what fingerprints can tell us about people. While this event is called an Open Mic Night, there is actually no microphones, but several “open” microscopes you can use to learn more about fingerprint analysis. This event has been in business since 1982, and features several exhibitors from over sixty businesses to one event, allowing people to explore Asian American Culture. You’ll get to shop from over a thousand vendors, witness live music and dance, and select food and beverages from three different food courts.
