I'm not an athlete, how will I benefit from Cryotherapy?
keyboard_arrow_right
Whole Body Cryotherapy (WBC) was made popular in the United States by many professional athletes; however, it was invented by a rheumatologist in the 70's for his rheumatoid arthritic patients. He found that lowering the skin temperature elicited a response in the body that increased anti-inflammatory properties and lowered pro-inflammatory levels in his patients, which greatly improved arthritic conditions. We have seen clients with RA, multiple sclerosis, auto immune disorders, fibromyalgia use WBC as a safe and natural means to reduce pain and keep flare ups at bay. WBC also jumpstarts the healing and recovery process by loading the blood with oxygen and nutrients. As a result, quality of sleep is enhanced as your body has already begun the process of recovery. Many individuals also use cryotherapy to slow the aging process and activate longevity genes. So it's clear that WBC isn't just for athletes, it's for all of us who want to achieve vitality and wellness.
Who should NOT participate in Whole Body Cryotherapy
keyboard_arrow_right
Those who have a healthy heart/blood pressure and can stand upright for 3 minutes, may participate in WBC. WBC mimics a mild workout; therefore, your heart rate increases temporarily. If your health is currently being closely monitored, we advise you consult with your medical professional before participating in WBC. Those with cold sensitivities such as Raynaud's syndrome should also refrain from cryotherapy.

What is BEMER Vascular Therapy?
keyboard_arrow_right
BEMER Vascular Therapy is designed to increase local blood circulation and stimulate muscles in order to improve and facilitate performance.
Is PEMF therapy safe?
keyboard_arrow_right
Absolutely! Electromagnetic energy is around us all the time — from the shows we stream on our phones, to listening to the radio and even in the human body (which emits heat, i.e. infrared waves). PEMF devices are safe because the waves they produce are located toward the lowest end of the electromagnetic spectrum (between AM and FM radio), which means they are safe to pass through the human body.
How does the BEMER work?
keyboard_arrow_right
The BEMER uses PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) technology. Devices that use PEMF technology for therapy produce electromagnetic fields with various waveforms and frequencies that stimulate healthy muscles in order to improve and facilitate muscle performance.
The effectiveness of these waves depend on specific parameters to target our cell tissues. Much like a musical song that has a specific melody, rhythm and tempo, PEMF therapy devices deliver waves in an organized sequence (melody), at specific frequencies (rhythm) set to a certain pulse (tempo).
Have there been studies done on the BEMER?
keyboard_arrow_right
There have been multiple studies and reports performed by doctors and health organizations regarding the effectiveness of the BEMER. The National Institutes of Health conducted a two-day workshop with many of the nation’s top scientists and clinicians from the microvascular field.
Perhaps the highest validation of the science behind BEMER is their collaboration with NASA. BEMER been chosen as a cooperative partner for the development of the next generation of spacesuits … paving the way for integrating BEMER technology into human space flight.
What is Joovv Red Light Therapy?
keyboard_arrow_right
Red Light Therapy is a simple, non-invasive treatment that delivers concentrated natural light to your skin and cells. Red Light Therapy is quick and easy: all you have to do is sit or stand in the light for 5 to 15 minutes, ideally every day. This gives the mitochondria in your cells the natural light they need to make the energy that powers your body.
What does Red Light Therapy mean?
keyboard_arrow_right
As a term, “Red Light Therapy” refers to treatments from LEDs or cold lasers that deliver wavelengths of natural red and near infrared light.
The term does not include white light, blue light or blue LED masks, and it is not the same as full spectrum light. Some people may include infrared or far infrared wavelengths along with red light therapy, but those are typically used in dry saunas because of their ability to produce heat. Red Light Therapy does not rely on heat, a major difference between natural light treatments and heat-based modalities like an infrared sauna, traditional sauna or other type of heat therapy.
How is a Red Light Therapy treatment performed?
keyboard_arrow_right
Consistency and proper use is key for effective red light therapy.
For optimal results with a high-quality, LED-based device like a Joovv, follow these basics for general wellness benefits:
Position yourself about 6 inches from the device
Expose your skin for best results
Approximately 10-minute treatment times per coverage area
Daily use is ideal
Any time of day
How does Red Light Therapy work?
keyboard_arrow_right
Our cells need natural light to function, just like they need water and nutrients from food. Unfortunately, most people don’t get as much natural light as they need for optimal health (the average American spends over 90% of their time indoors). Red Light Therapy allows you to supplement the light you get from your environment with concentrated wavelengths of red and near infrared light.
Red light therapy works by enhancing your energy production at a cellular level. Healthy, natural light stimulates the mitochondria, the powerhouse of the cell, and enhances the cellular respiration process that makes ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) energy. Humans make ATP every day, and it fuels everything we do. The more energy our cells can make, the better our bodies look, heal, feel and perform.
Does Red Light Therapy help with inflammation, pain relief and healing?
keyboard_arrow_right
Red Light Therapy has a natural anti-inflammatory effect, and Joovv is cleared by the FDA as a Class-II medical device for the treatment of pain and strain.
Natural light treatments increase circulation and blood flow to damaged tissues and promote cellular regeneration. This aids the healing process, for less pain and quicker recovery times.
The anti-inflammatory and pain relief effects of Red Light Therapy have also been demonstrated to reduce muscle fatigue and speed the muscle recovery process. Red Light Therapy has also shown positive results for healing bone and tissue injuries, and improves the healing of wounds and other injuries, from cuts and incisions to surgeries and sports injuries.
Can Red Light Therapy help with sleep?
keyboard_arrow_right
Natural light exposure is a key ingredient to a healthy circadian rhythm and restful sleep. Overexposure to bright artificial light (especially blue light from screens) can knock circadian rhythm out of whack and make it difficult to sleep at night. Red light therapy is used as a sleep aid and nighttime light source because it has a low color temperature, and has been shown in clinical studies to aid the body’s production of melatonin. In other trials, red light therapy has improved patients’ sleep disorders and insomnia, including better sleep for people with traumatic brain injuries.
Does Red Light Therapy have any other benefits?
keyboard_arrow_right
Red Light Therapy, or “LED Light Therapy” as it’s often called by estheticians and dermatologists, is a natural skin and beauty treatment with proven anti-inflammatory properties.
Clinical trials have shown that Red Light Therapy may increase collagen levels. Leading estheticians and Hollywood celebrities have taken notice, using Red LED Light treatments to boost collagen and collagen density for anti-aging and beauty benefits. Some leading estheticians use Red Light Therapy as a full-body skin treatment for their clients’ hyperpigmentation skin concerns.
Red Light Therapy is a popular skin rejuvenation and natural beauty treatment. A controlled trial from 2017 showed that women ages 30-55 who did a course of Red Light Therapy improved the moisture content of their skin, with diminished facial wrinkles. Other studies have shown the reduction of fine lines and smoothing of skin roughness. Red Light skin care treatment is also used for healing acne scars and burns, and targeted beauty treatments like improving complexion, pimples and breakouts.
What is NormaTec?
keyboard_arrow_right
NormaTec was created by a physician bioengineer (MD, PhD) to enhance blood flow and speed recovery. The NormaTec PULSE Massage Pattern employs three key techniques—pulsing, distal release, and gradients—all to maximize your recovery.
How does NormaTec work?
keyboard_arrow_right
NormaTec works through pulsing, distal release and gradients:
PULSING -
Instead of using static compression (squeezing) to transport fluid out of the limbs, NormaTec Pulse Technology uses dynamic compression (pulsing). The patented pulsing action more effectively mimics the muscle pump of the legs and arms, greatly enhancing the movement of fluid and metabolites out of the limbs after an intense workout.
GRADIENTS -
Veins and lymphatic vessels have one-way valves that prevent fluid backflow. Similarly, NormaTec Pulse Technology uses hold pressures to keep fluids from being forced in the wrong direction. Because of this enhancement, instead of tapering pressure off, the NormaTec can deliver maximum pressure in every zone.
DISTAL RELEASE -
Because extended static pressure can be detrimental to the body’s normal circulatory flow, Sequential Pulse Technology releases the hold pressures once they are no longer needed to prevent backflow. By releasing the hold pressure in each zone as soon as possible, each portion of the limb gains maximal rest time without a significant pause between compression cycles.
What are the benefits of using NormaTec?
keyboard_arrow_right
The NormaTec Pulse Technology lowers blood lactate concentrations, reducing soreness, tenderness and muscle fatigue. A single session of NormaTec pulse compression improves conduit artery endothelial function systematically and improves RH blood flow in the compressed limbs.
It also rapidly enhances acute range of motion with less discomfort and time, increase circulation and helps to aid our lymphatic drainage system.
