A season pass secures your seat for all four performances of our 2021-2022 season. Take a look at our four concerts below to see what's in store!
America Will Be
America Will Be attempts another sense of patriotism; one where a true awareness of how self-evaluation and refinement can bring about the country in which we all can be proud to live. A true “choral spectrum,” traditional choral sounds to contemporary pop styles reflect the diversity of voices and the nuance of storytelling Tonality has become known to represent.
Stories of Home
In this concert, Tonality uses our collective voices to speak to stories of the displaced, focusing on immigration, refugees, or the rampant experiences of homelessness. Join us as we re-center the Nativity story to highlight the spirit of "radical inclusion" and how we can expand what "home" means in our community.
A Call to Restore
In Tonality's third concert of the season, "A Call To Restore" focuses on the justice system. This concert will present issues of how the justice system and its history affects marginalized communities, including the school to prison pipeline. Also, stories from those who have been involved in this system from many perspectives will shed a light on the ability to rise above labels and actions of the past with support from the community.
You Are Not Alone
Tonality sings of the labels placed on those with mental illness. These fellow community members, treated as "different" reflect on our shame and feelings of misunderstanding. This concert speaks through the eyes of poets and artists who have dealt or deal with mental illness issues.Â
The concert explores how we can be of support to members of our community who need compassion, understanding, and validation. Additionally, the concert will include spoken stories of those within our Los Angeles and Tonality community as well who are personally affected by these issues. We can heal and grow together, through our united story and bond through singing. Come join us.
