For understandable reasons, the Linguascope-sponsored real-world TiLT conference cannot take place this year, but for the friendly and supportive TiLT community (aka #mfltwitterati, ILILC, but fundamentally, people positive about Technology in Language Teaching!), we are offering a 'virtual' alternative.
Initially we will focus on how to offer effective distance learning, which is obviously a hot topic, and then we will be able to pick up on some of the sessions which were going to be offered at the conference.
As we finalise main speakers we will add the detail to our website. Here are links to information about sessions which already have confirmed speakers. Read the info, then return here to register. 'SELECT A DATE' then click 'TICKETS'
There is limit of 100 in the room. Registration for the event does not guarantee you a place, but you will definitely be on our mailing list so that we can send you follow-up information and links. If you are desperate to attend, please arrive early (usually we are open about 15 minutes before the start time) and be comforted that everything is recorded and will be available usually within an hour of the end of the event. Links to the recordings will be kept on the webinar page, the most recent on top.
How can you join in?
Firstly, please register here for these free webinars. This will make it easier for us to send you messages about the webinars. Before the event, please look at our 'etiquette' for online conduct. (Basically, we are professional, respectful of others, and positive). The video will be available to the public.
To join on the day, open up your ticket and follow the direct online link. There will be a countdown clock to the opening of the space.
What happens online?
Once in the Zoom room (which is like being in a big Skype conversation), you can choose how involved you wish to be. You can text chat or request to use audio and video.
The sessions are coordinated by Joe Dale who has a created a fantastic international network of tech-loving teachers via #mfltwitterati. Usually, someone will have been asked to do a presentation about an aspect of technology in language teaching, during and after which participants can ask questions or supplement with their own advice.
We will try to keep the ALL London dedicated page up-to-date with details of dates and speakers.
Usually the sessions will be recorded and available to watch later. Links to the recordings will be kept on the webinar page, the most recent on top.
Joe Dale will be our regular convener.
