Synopsis: Tightrope
Jeannie Sol is a member of Teatro Sea Children's Theater in NYC. A Prominent, Singer, Actress, Comedian. She is a renowned performer who has traveled the globe with the World famous Fania All-Stars with Celia Cruz, Ray Barreto, Eddie Montalvo, Johnny Pacheco to name a few. Ms. Sol is also the title holder of the Miss Informissima in Torrino recipient of 4 HOLA awards and 2 ACE awards for her actoral and singing talents. She continues to bring her talents to the masses. Ms. Sol continues her love of the Arts bringing her talents to Senior Centers and Schools.
A.B. Lugo is an award-winning actor, playwright, director, poet, and producer. As a playwright, his works include Banjee, Branches, Geneva, Manchild Machismo (for which he won HOLA Performer's Choice Award for Best Solo Show; it has been presented at The ONE Festival, Teatro Circulo's Callback Series, Downtown Urban Theater Festival, as well as in North Carolina); BBC: A Love Story, and Field of Blood, among others. As a poet, he has performed all over the NYC metropolitan area, North Carolina and in Puerto Rico. His poetry has been published in his collection of poems Spanish Coffee: Black, No Sugar (La Casita Grande) and in the poetry anthology Me No Habla With Acento (El Museo Del Barrio/Rebel Satori Press). As a director, some of his credits include the plays Agravios de fortuna (for which he won a New York Latin ACE Award); La vieja herida; Field of Blood; El Gringuito; My Last, Best Spouse; The Trip; The Taking of Miss Janie and Puerto Rican Nocturne (world premiere in Colorado Springs in March 2020). He is extremely happy to collaborate with Jeannie Sol on Tightrope. His favorite role to date is that of father to his son, Dani-Phoenix, and stepfather to his other three children.
