Possibilities Theatre Company is pleased to present THE OUTSIDERS CABARET-- a cabaret celebrating what it means to be different!
We asked people to define what "normal" means to them, and then we gave those responses to performers to use as inspiration to create a performance!
THE OUTSIDERS CABARET is a fundraiser for Possibilities Theatre Company's upcoming production of RENT by Jonathan Larson. RENT is a musical that celebrates people who live outside of what's considered the "norm" of societal expectation, and celebrates people for being themselves, in all their glory. We wanted to celebrate the authenticity of RENT by hosting a cabaret in the same vein.
The cabaret starts at 7 PM, and will be held outdoors at Northcenter Town Square. Audience members are encouraged to bring food and beverage to enjoy, as well as a chair, if they don't want to sit on the astroturf. In case of rain, the cabaret will be held live, over Zoom at the same time. There will be raffle tickets for sale, with lots of awesome prizes! Audience will be social-distanced and wearing masks. Only one unmasked performer onstage at a time. Tickets are $15-- but nobody will be turned away due to lack of funds (email possibilitiestheatrecompany@gmail.com to make a alternative reservation).
Performers: Brian Warner, Norah Flaherty, Zoey Laird, Melody DeRogatis, Hannah Boutilier, and Nikki Gee.
