The Burning Brush, I am Who I am: The Art of Athlone Clarke

The Auburn Avenue Research Library, in collaboration with Hammonds House Museum, will host The Burning Brush, I am Who I am: The Art of Athlone Clarke. On fire, but not consumed by the flames, The Burning Brush is an incendiary visual declaration by Athlone Clarke, one of arts most authentic and provocative voices. A metaphorical reference to Exodus 3:1-15 (King James Version), this multimedia exhibition, via a deft fusion of thoughtful brushwork, textual commentary and reclaimed documental artifacts, demands attention and inspires awe. This exhibition will be presented in the Auburn Avenue Research Library’s first floor Cary-McPheeters Gallery.
