The "Stories in Living Color" series features paired storytellers of different races and communities that have worked together to craft individual but intersecting stories about living with race and discrimination. The goal is to uncover individual biases, unlearn these tendencies, and together help create a sea change in our society.
This event is the sixth in the SILC series produced by the Storytelling Association of California. Our storytelling pairs for the evening are: Roopa Mohan and Karin Amato & Ruby Simpkins and Elizabeth Vander Kamp. Stay for a lively interactive Q&Q between storytellers and audience members following the stories. The evening's emcee is Kanute Rarey,
Tickets are available at either $15, $10, or $5. All proceeds in excess of the cost to produce Stories in Living Color events are donated to organizations that are working for social equity and equality; so please, if you can afford it purchase a $15 or $10 ticket, and if you can't, purchase a $5 ticket, or simply donate what you can; you'll still get a ticket!
