Face your fears as you get up close and personal with these eight-legged creatures. Just in time for the creepiest season of the year, creepy crawlies take over the Natural History Museum’s outdoor, walk-through Spider Pavilion – the only Spider Pavilion in the U.S. – which is home to more than a dozen local and exotic varieties of free-roaming spiders, including the Golden Silk Spider, the largest species of orb weavers, whose silk is as strong as steel, and Garden Spider, who can spin a web up to three meters across. Also visit the Spider Den, which houses enclosed habitats showcasing tarantulas, wolf spiders and jumping spiders.
