Porkapalooza 2017 will be held on Friday, September 22nd from 6:30pm-9:30pm at The Root Cellar in Chapel Hill.
The eagerly anticipated porktastic farm dinner will offer 7 small plate courses, featuring locally raised pork from Seven Springs Farm and Hickory Nut Gap Farm and beers from women-owned Bombshell Beer Company in Holly Springs. This is the 6th anniversary of what has become one of the signature food events in North Carolina.
Porkapalooza diners can expect a variety of pork-centric dishes including: roasted suckling pigs; chicken fried pork over house-made waffles and topped with spicy bacon jam; Asian pork belly skewers, served with pickled watermelon; crispy fried taquitos, stuffed with pork carnitas, and served with bacon guacamole; and decadent bacon chocolate chip cookies. Tickets are $55 through August 31st and include all food, drink and fun but do not include gratuity. We also offer a limited number of dinner only (no alcohol) tickets for $50…perfect for underage members of your family or designated drivers. We strongly suggest you get your tickets now...the event is an annual sell out and the ticket price will go up September 1st!
