- #Comedy Showcase

About a year ago I asked if I could start a comedy show at the cafe on my block. A few hours before showtime, me and some friends rolled a bunch of tires down the street for a makeshift stage. And it worked. There have been over forty(!) shows, and I’m psyched about every lineup I put together.
NO COVER NO DRINK MIN. Beer and wine bar
Host: Andrew Manning
Andrew is a comic from Western Connecticut who performs regularly around the city and back home. He is also the roast champion of his hometown scene. He’s a white trash nobody so comedy is really all he’s got.
Lineup-
Pedro Salinas:
Growing up a sensitive genius orphan in the conservative small town of Jews, Confederate Flag, it was always Pedro’s dream to do comedy on television. After achieving this goal in 2015 with his two-minute appearance on the regional cable access stand-up showcase “Laughs on Fox”, he retired at the peak of his worldwide success and adulation, and now delivers master classes on the comedy craft in New York City and Philadelphia. Behold his Twitter and despair: @salinas_pedro
Lucie Steiner:
Lucie Steiner is a stand-up comedian from New York City. Her smart, introspective, and sometimes dark sense of humor has earned her a place in festivals across the country, including the 2016 Laughing Skull Comedy Festival and the 2015 Big Sky Comedy Festival. Her work for the sketch comedy group, Mrs. Woman, has been called "hilarious" by Patton Oswalt, and has been featured on Funny or Die and in The AV Club. She recently became a writer for Jon Stewart's upcoming political comedy show on HBO.
Kenny Warren:
Kenny Warren aka "the average black man" is a native of Portland, OR. He has performed at New York Comedy Club, Greenwich Village Comedy Club, Gotham Comedy Club, Broadway Comedy Club and Caroline's on Broadway. Kenny has produced shows at Eastville Comedy Club, Broadway Comedy Club and BB Kings, and Harlem on 5th. Kenny also hosts an open mic called "The Sting" at the Duck in Spanish Harlem weekly, creating an opportunity for his comedy troupe, Different Shades of Comedy to hone their craft as a team. MC for Ice T + Coco , on Wendy William's Street Talk, creator and organizer of DSC and its growing number of shows and collaborations in New York City, and much more! His influences include Richard Pryor, Robin Harris, Eddie Murphy and Louis C.K. With tales that spawn from his years growing up on the west coast, this up and coming comedian has a unique style of painting a picture and using misdirection to keep you in stitches.
Lucas Connolly:
Lucaa Connolly has been seen on Seeso's New York's Funniest Comedians (2016), Comedy Central's New York (2015, 2014 and 2013) and South Beach Comedy Festivals (2012 and online content), and in a national commercial for Joe's Crab Shack. He has been featured on the front page of Reddit countless times, won the National Lampoon's Joke Off (2011), and written up in The New York Times, The New York Post and Time Out NY for his standup. Lucas also runs 4 successful shows in New York City: "The Dirty Show," "Hard, Lonely, Vicious," "Guest Room," and "camouflage" all of which have become staples of the New York comedy scene
Wanjiko Eke:
Wanjiko is a standup comedian from Austin, Texas. She performs all around the city, including in the Brooklyn Comedy Festival.
Dan Wickes:
Dan Wickes is a NYC comedian orginally from Long Island. You can catch him throughout the city and at the shows he produces, Popped Collar Comedy and Stationary Circus. He thinks Super Mario Odyssey is the greatest game of all time.
