About a year ago I asked if I could start a comedy show at the cafe on my block. A few hours before showtime, me and some friends rolled a bunch of tires down the street for a makeshift stage. And it worked. There have over been forty(!) shows, and I'm psyched about every lineup I put together. This Saturday, Popped Collar Comedy Show returns to the coziest venue in Bushwick! Come out and pop! :)
Host: Dan Wickes
Dan Wickes is the producer of the Popped Collar Comedy Show, which he’s been running for close to 2 years. He’s doing comedy all over the city, take his word for it.
Conrad Roth:
Conrad Roth is a stand-up comedian, writer, and actor originally from Philadelphia. His first national TV appearance came as a featured comedian on “Bill Bellamy’s Who’s Got Jokes” Season 4. Conrad was handpicked to perform at the Boston Comedy Festival in 2008 and Salt Lake City’s Rocky Mountain Comedy Festival in 2011. He then spent two years in San Francisco, during which he performed with Robin Williams and headlined the Purple Onion. Conrad is currently creating his best work, living in New York City.
Von Decarlo:
Von Decarlo is a multi-talented comedian, actress, and author of the book, “Speak Fluent Man“. Also known as “Coach Von”, she hosts a weekly podcast and prides herself on knowing how to maintain a strong, fearless, no-filter point-of-view on any hot topic without marginalizing the male perspective, or spoiling man fun. You can find her performing stand up at many premier venues throughout New York City, and her one woman show Lasagna debuted at The People’s Improv Theatre to a full crowd and rave reviews. Von Decarlo is a double first name, and yes, her mother named her after Lily Munster.
Lance Pauker:
Lance was recently featured on the east coast leg of the Anxiety Reality National Comedy Tour, and has performed at clubs and colleges all across the northeast. He performs stand up comedy nightly in New York City at clubs, bars, and dystopian office spaces.
Rachel Green:
Rachel Green is a Comedian, Actress, Violinist, Singer and VoiceOver Artist. She came to standup comedy when she realized her sex, dating and alternative lifestyle stories were too funny and interesting not to share with the world. Rachel gives back to the community through motorboating.
Meno Fernandez:
Also hailing from Long Island, Meno is a failed coffee shop owner who now entertains people while they buy drinks at comedy clubs. It’s a shame he couldn’t do this while running his own business!
Ryan Mulholland:
Ryan Mulholland is comic from Deer Park Long Island. He likes soup and porn.
