Have you ever thought about what life would be like if you were unable to see clearly? Unable to control your mobility? Unable to eat? If you were to just have seizures over and over again? Have you ever thought about what it would be like to feel hypersensitivity to the touch of a hand even if it was your own mother's hand? Not being able to sleep? Not being able to breathe? That is CDKL5 deficiency, a very very RARE deficiency, and baby Reyna has it!
Reyna is a 2-year-old girl who has a genetic condition called CDKL5. This is a debilitating, life-threatening disorder with no cure.
Researchers in Boston are working on a cure - protein replacement therapy. This costs $1.4M, out of which, we've sent $350K already. The protein is successfully produced in-vitro. The researchers are now working on stabilizing the protein & finding a way to deliver it to the brain. The next step after that would be a toxicology study. The expected completion (if everything goes as planned) is by end of 2020.

We need your help to continue this research & give it the boost it deserves.
