LEAGUE MEMBERS- Join us for a Community Conversation about Showcase Code Productions after the lifting of NYS COVID-19 RestrictionsSelf Producing Artists considering a Showcase Code production; Actors, Dancers and Singers wondering what your work will be like in the Fall; Designers, Technicians and Indie Theater Makers thinking about how to get back to work- all of us in the community have questions!
Join LIT for a Members Town Hall, for artists by artists, to discuss the legitimate questions we all have about moving forward with Showcase Code productions.
There is nothing more powerful than community consensus. We need to hear from each other. Let's help each other navigate the challenges ahead.
This Town Hall will be held via Zoom. The Town Hall will open with a panel of Artists sharing their perspective as they try to plan or participate in a Showcase Code production now that the NYS COVID-19 Restrictions have been lifted. We will then open up the room for discussion. We will try to hear from as many League members as possible within the 2 hour time frame.
You will be sent a link to the virtual Town Hall when you reserve your free ticket.
This Town Hall is for Members of the League of Independent Theater. If you are not yet a member of the League, join here:

All Participants are expected to participate using these Community Agreements:
- Listen for Understanding, Not for Debate
- Give space, take space - If you tend to speak more than others, let others have an opportunity to speak; if you tend to let others speak, step forward when it feels right for you
- Mutual Respect for all parties, even those not present
- Acknowledge power dynamics and imbalances
inside and outside of the room- be aware of your privileges, extending
understanding to others in the room that might not share your experiences
- Assume good intentions and acknowledge
impact
- Expect “non-closure.” We probably won’t get to the end of the
road today, but acknowledge the steps forward taken
*Please note that while we hope representatives from AEA will chose to participate in this Town Hall, this is a community conversation amongst League Members.
*The meeting will be recorded but never shared publicly.
*LIT is in no way implying that we are representing the union, nor is LIT currently in negotiations with AEA.
