Modern society, particularly here in the Bay Area, focuses on mental tasks and intellect, and  creates an artificial divide between mind and body. We are encouraged to push through the pain, and we glorify the hustle, which eventually leaves us spent and burnt out.

But what if your emotions, your body, the things you feel hold the key to your healthy boundaries?

From living in China for 5 years studying taichi and learning about holistic medical practices, my taichi master said something that stuck with me, “If it’s uncomfortable, don’t do it.”

In this workshop, we will

  • Explore what you already know you want or don’t want,
  • Reveal the emotional reactions and physical sensations that indicate when a boundary exists, and
  • Identify your indicators that a boundary is about to be crossed.

Only through awareness first can we begin to impact our lives.
