Drew Volpe | Managing Partners, Procyon Ventures

Drew Volpe is cofounder and managing partner of Procyon Ventures, an early-stage venture capital fund based in Boston. Procyon partners with entrepreneurs solving real-world problems using data and machine intelligence.

Drew is an accomplished entrepreneur and technologist. He was the founding VP of Product Development for conversational AI startup Semantic Machines. He previously cofounded and was CTO of Locately where he lead the development of Locately's location-based analytics technology from founding through successful acquisition by SMG. Prior to Locately, Drew was Director of Product Development at Endeca Technologies, a pioneer in search and unstructured database systems, acquired by Oracle for $1.1 billion. Drew is an active speaker and mentor for startups at MassChallenge, Techstars, MIT, Harvard, and other innovation centers. Drew holds an AB in Computer Science from Harvard University.

Delaney Granizo-Mackenzie | Director of Academia, Quantopian

Delaney works at Quantopian and lead academic outreach initiatives. This involves working with academics from top universities as well as industry professionals. One of the main projects is developing a set of free Interactive educational content teaching statistics and quantitative finance.

 

Jennifer Lum | Cofounder, Forge.AI

Jennifer Lum is an entrepreneur, angel investor and startup advisor.

Jennifer Lum the Co-founder and COO of Forge.AI, a data company that creates fuel for intelligent machines. Prior to Forge, Jennifer helped build four startups through to acquisition by public tech companies - Adelphic (acquired by Time Inc), Quattro Wireless (acquired by Apple), m-Qube (acquired by VeriSign), and WebHosting.Com (acquired by AT&T).

Jennifer is an Entrepreneur In Residence at MIT and was recognized in AdAge's "10 Digital Marketers You Should Know", Business Insider’s “Most Powerful Women in Mobile Advertising,” Inc.com’s “Women to Watch” and Boston Business Journal’s “Top 40 Under 40”.

Rhiannon Chiacchiaro | Director of Technical Business Development, Deep Core Data

Rhiannon Chiacchiaro, Director of Technical Business Development at Deep Core Data, has long fought for bridging the communication gap between people and machines. As a gamer, engineer, and mental health advocate, she believes in creating a technological future that doesn’t leave humanity in the past. A graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute, she has a background in both robotics and music technology, and has been a professional technical writer since she was 13 years old. Her combination of skills has led her to Deep Core Data, where they use the philosophy of Ethical Tech to further the idea that we can and should do better in the IT business by putting people first. She hopes that through education, compassion, and accountability, her team can lead the charge to a more productive and collaborative environment for businesses and techies alike.
