On view at the Forest Lawn Museum from May 3–October 28, 2018, "GOOOOL! The World Cup's Greatest Moments" invites fans and newcomers alike to learn about soccer through images, jerseys, soccer balls, medals, tickets, and other memorabilia that reveal the greatest and most controversial moments in soccer history. Displaying for the first time objects from the FIFA World Football Museum in Zürich, Switzerland, the exhibition is presented in association with the Consulate General of Mexico in Los Angeles and reflects the way the internationally significant sport of soccer unites the global community across continents in both sport and spirit. The exhibition recounts the triumphs, heartbreaks, and stories of real-life heroes such as Pelé (Brazil), Diego Maradona (Argentina), and Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal) who continue to motivate young, aspiring soccer players and fans everywhere.
