Garjana is a brand new immersive dance concept in partnership with the nonprofit Food Tank, one of the fastest growing food advocacy organizations worldwide. Join us on October 16 at 5:30 PM at the Union Square Ballroom (27 Union Sq W, New York, NY 10003) for a unique experience using all original music, visuals, props, and choreography. Also featuring DJ Vikas and fire breathers! Delicious snacks and healthy beverages included.
At Garjana, Broadway stars will lead attendees in easy-to-pick-up and fresh-looking synchronized dance moves, all set to original music and fully immersed in visuals specially created for the event. No dance experience required.
The charity event features an A-list of talent. The music is completely original, written and produced by Douglas Romanow (a Toronto-based producer who has worked with hundreds of major artists including Justin Bieber and Tyga). Visuals and video are by award-winning film and television director Kevin Arbouet. Choreography is by Monica Kapoor, a dance-fitness instructor whose performing credits include a seven-year stint in Mamma Mia on Broadway, as well as Bombay Dreams, NBC's Smash, and more. Stars from Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, Mamma Mia, Wicked, Aladdin, Memphis, Margaritaville.
Participants are encouraged to "dress to sweat." Doors open at 5:30PM and the 1 hour event starts at 6, sharp.
