We want to gather all Muslim artists in the bay area, so if you paint, write, sculpt or any other form of creative expression, this is for you.
We will have a series of 6 hour sessions during which artists can:
1 - Come and meet other creatives
2 - work on their art (bring art supplies and your works in progress, don't be scared!)
3 - Get advice and mentorship (bring work you want critique or advice on)
4 - Come and hang out with GAMA!
We are also including a workshop series (starting at 1 PM) during these programs under the theme: the Business of Art. The goal of these workshops are to help artists learn skills that they can use to gain more success as an artist.
Ticket Cost (Sliding Scale): $5-$15.

Workshop 1: Intro to Art Business, October 21
We will explore different art related revenue streams, business models, important financial considerations to keep in mind, using your art as a gig at events, art as commission, art merchandising, freelance art/design and more.
Workshop 2: Building and Maintaining Your Online Presence, November 11
We will discuss social Media (IG, FB, Snapchat), the power of email newsletters, website intro/design, marketplaces like etsy, Basics of Marketing, omnichannel marketing, crowdfunding as marketing.
Workshop 3: Portfolio Building and Review, December 16
We will learn about building an online portfolio for art school, galleries, and potential future clients The featured GAMA speaker will be: Ayesha Samdani. This session will be followed by portfolio review by senior artists so bring your work/pictures of your work!
