Hey Parents and Teens!
I'm Eric! I’m an electrical engineer working in the profession for the past 10 years in the Greater Vancouver area. I’m reaching out as a member of the community with an invitation that could help a lot of students and teachers right now.
With the COVID-19 lockdowns closing schools indefinitely, it's not certain how students can keep up with their classes.
The world as we know it is changing drastically, and now more than ever, we are reminded that we are all connected and we are here to help each other. I’ve been inspired by the amazing acts of kindness in the community, and want to do something to help!
Even though I work as a professional engineer, one of my true passions is teaching. That's why I’m offering free weekly online tutorials every Saturday to local teens who are either struggling with MATH or are eager to learn and want to get ahead.
When I was an engineering student at UBC, my average for first year courses was over 99%. I also worked as a math tutor with AMS Tutoring and was a Teaching Assistant at the Department of Mathematics, as well as worked at Pearson Education Canada (textbook publisher) as a developer of answer keys to the math textbook questions and problems.
Many parents are worried that their teen will fall behind during the school closures. Send them to me and I’ll do my best to help.
The online tutorial will be Q&A format, and I will do my best to help each student in the process.
