Irish comedian and actor Dylan Moran last performed in L.A. in 2013 at Largo, the home-away-from-home for U.K. comedy stars. Moran is best known for playing an ill-tempered, London bookstore owner in the BAFTA-winning cult comedy series Black Books. He’s appeared in the David Schwimmer-directed Run Fatboy Run, Shaun of the Dead, Notting Hill and 2014’s Calvary, starring Brendan Gleeson. He also recently published a series of short, illustrated books with titles like Bessie the Edible Dormouse Gets Down and Pig Gets a Quadruple Bypass. For his latest tour, Off the Hook, Moran riffs on trademark subjects, including aging, family and religion, or as he calls it: “The thing that makes you feel bad the moment you’re awake.” He also talks about quitting smoking. “You can’t masturbate all day long.”
