Decked Out: From Scroll to Skateboard

Here’s an experience that I think is truly unique, and very cool: the Pacific Bonsai Museum’s upcoming show entitled Decked Out: From Scroll to Skateboard. 

First, let’s just take in the fact that The Puget Sound area has its very own Bonsai Museum, and it’s just a hop, skip and jump away in Federal Way. Second, you need to know that this exhibit starts this Saturday, April 30th. Third, the bonsai has very special meaning in the Japanese culture, and is a very important part of a decorative element in the home, which includes a mantle, much like a fireplace, a scroll, a bonsai and a small accent plant or art piece. in the Decked Out exhibit, the bonsai is not only present, but is depicted by street art created by local artists, on a skateboard deck – the exhibit’s version of the scroll.

This is one show you really do have to see to believe. You’re not going to want to miss a trick!
