Kick off Coworking Week with a visit to Impact Hub Seattle - a locally rooted, globally connected coworking space located in a historic building in the heart of Pioneer Square. Impact Hub offers a unique and powerful ecosystem of resources, inspiration, and collaborative opportunities that are designed to support innovation and positive social impact in our communities!
Here's a suggested itinerary for your visit!
- Check in with the host at the front desk for a brief tour of the workspace and help yourself to a cup of organic, fair-trade coffee or tea from Equal Exchange (one of the largest worker-owned co-ops in the country)!
- Next task: find a comfortable space to work. We have large group tables if you're coming with a team, individuals desks with monitors, standing options and even a treadmill desk if you'd like to walk while you work! Take advantage of one of our 14 phone booths when you need to hop on a call, and feel free to move throughout the building to find the best spot for maximum productivity.
- For a dose of mid-morning inspiration, join us in our newclassroom on the 4th floor for a conversation about the future of capitalism with John Fullerton, founder and president of Capital Institute. Capital Institute is a collaborative working to illuminate how our economy and financial system can operate to promote a more just, regenerative, and thus sustainable way of living on this earth.
- For lunch, you'll want to make sure to visit the taqueria at the end of the block which is owned by Impact Hub member and restauranteur Manu Alfau. Order some guisado-style tacos from the window and bring them back to Impact Hub to enjoy, or head over to the Waterfall Garden Park or Occidental Park!
- Use the afternoon to check off the remaining items on your To Do list and reward yourself with an ice cold beer at Flatstick Pub or a cocktail at Good Bar - two of Pioneer Square's best bars that just happen to be located on our block.
