Cooking & Conversations: Foods to overcome Seasonal Depression & Tyra Gardner, therapist Tyra Gardner

The Holidays are a time to be merry but it can also be a time of stress and may trigger not so blissful emotions and that is okay. Ambrosia Kitchen presents Wellness Wednesdays during #DeliberateDecember.

Once a week be deliberate in taking a moment to take care of your best asset - YOU.

Tyra Gardner, CEO of Tyra S. Gardner Consulting & Art at A Moments Notice is partnering with us to bring her brand of "NotsoPsychotherapist." In other words, Tyra brings reality based approaches to deal with real life situations. Each week we will explore self- care with seasonal health tips and identify foods to help you settle into the stillness and calm of winter.

Wellness Wednesdays

Session Topics

December 6th - Deal with Stress & the Holidays

December 13th - Depression & Family: A Healthier Approach

December 20th - S.A.D. Beyond the Holidays: Now What?

Schedule (doors open at 6)

6:25 pm - 7:15 pm: Topic Discussion

7:15 pm - 8:15 pm: Cooking Class & Demonstration

8:15 pm - 9:00 pm: Dinner & Follow up Questions with Tyra

We will have a cooking class/demo to accompany the conversation and talk led by Tyra Gardner. We will focus on HAPPY foods and grounding foods. Our professional chefs will lead a hands on cooking workshop full of suprises and fun.

Each class purchase includes all class materials, unlimited sampling, use of an official chef's apron for the duration of the class, light refreshments, big smiles, and a chance to meet fellow veg-eaters.

Parking can be tricky, but you can find us near the corner of Market and Letitia Streets. There is free parking (if you can find it) and metered parking nearby. We are also accessible via public transit.

Class Policies:

Doors open at 6 PM for snacking & mingling. Class begins at 6:30 PM

Classes are recommended for ages 16 and up.

Weather policy: If a class is canceled due to inclement weather, you will receive a full refund.

You must cancel within 3 days of a class to receive a refund.

A minimum of 5 is required to run a class.

Walnuts and almonds may be included in some classes. If you have specific allergies, please let us know before you register.
