Julia Child would have been 105-years-old on August 15. For the fourth year in a row, our market is throwing her a birthday party of cool culinary proportions! This is truly one of our market's best and biggest days of the year!
Again, this year we have reserved front row seating, letting you get into all the splendid action! Advanced purchase is required. All other seating is free of charge, first come-first serve. Seating is available starting at 10AM.
As in year's past, Lynne Rossetto Kasper, host of American Public Media's The Splendid Table is our special, special guest. We've teamed her with Beth Dooley, cookbook author and food columnist for the Star Tribune. Midtown GlobalMarket's Kitchen in the Market and Molly McDonald Herrmann are running our cooking show, while Lynne & Beth play our market's version of "Stump the Cook." Lynne & Beth select the ingredients, Molly and our guest chef cook it up in a pan! By purchasing your ticket here you receive reserved front-row seating, putting you within arms reach of all the action.
A special birthday book signing begins at 10AM; featuring Lynne Rossetto Kasper and Beth Dooley \ books will be available for sale.
Our market is a 501c3 charitable organization. All proceeds from ticket sales go to the Linden Hills Farmers' Market's FARMERS FUND. This fund subsidizes farmers' stall fees throughout the season. For more information go to our website.
