Robot / Coding Stations
SPHERO- The Sphero Edu app empowers anyone to program their robot. Drag and drop actions, controls, operators, and more to give your bot the orders.
- ACTIVITY: Teams will work together to code SPHERO to move through a course using block code.
DASH- Dash is smart enough to respond to voices and sounds and Dash can dance and sing, which makes for a fun and interactive learning experience for kids.
- ACTIVITY- Children will create two teams. Teams will build an arena with goals on each side and attempt to push balls into the opposing teams goal. (Think Rocket League for robots)
Ozobot- These bots can be coded two ways: online with OzoBlockly and screen-free with Color Codes.
- ACTIVITY- Children will create a stop light function or crosswalk (drawing on paper). They will draw scenery or landmarks for Ozobot to pass on its way to school. Children will then program Ozobot using color commands to get the bot to school safely.
Cubetto- Cubetto is the friendly wooden robot that will teach your child the basics of computer programming through adventure and hands on play.
- ACTIVITY- Children will program Cubetto using forward, right, left and function buttons. The goal is to get Cubetto safely through its felt mat course without running into any obstacles along the way!
Coding- Be a programmer. Creativity, problem-solving, building confidence, taking risks, working independently, and thinking outside the box is the name of the game.
- ACTIVITY -Children will complete special missions to create their very own video games, all through code!
