Chicago Sinfonietta Celebration of Light Diwali Gala and Concert

VERY LIMITED WALKUP SEATS ARE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE AT THE VENUE.

Chicago Sinfonietta presents its second Diwali concert, amplified this year by themes of musical mythology, familiar traditions and of course, magical color! Listen as cultures combine through Beethoven’s
Leonore Overture No. 3 and a reimagined performance of Stravinsky’s The Firebird Suite (1919) featuring original choreography by Mandala Arts, dance ensemble. Experience the virtuosic stylings of violinist Dr. L. Subramaniam, as the Carnatic musical traditions of southern India fuse with Western classical traditions. Love + Light also marks another triumphant return---that of guest conductor Sameer Patel, former Assistant Conductor of the San Diego Symphony and Project Inclusion Freeman Conducting Fellow alumni.

Join Chicago Sinfonietta and the West Suburban Friends as we ramp up for our Naperville Diwali performance at Wentz Concert Hall with a luminescent pre-concert celebration.

We encourage attendees to explore this rich cultural tradition in a truly unique and fun evening in support of the orchestra’s West Suburban concert presentations and free community performances at libraries, schools, and other community venues.

Your tickets will be held for your at the Gala.  For the concert only tickets, please visit http://www.chicagosinfonietta.org/1920season/lovelight/
