Let celebrate Pride Month with our community and our first virtual Changemakers Conversation! A link will be shared with prior to the date.
We invite you to watch the movie "Evening Shadows" prior to the event. We are honored to talk to the Director and Producer Sridhar Rangayan and Producer Mohammed Shaik Hussain Ali. Join us to discuss their journey with this award winning film. We hope to have panelists from the South Asian community who will share their own stories with us.
We are also thrilled to have Aruna Rao join us on the panel. She is the Founder of Desi Rainbow Parents & Allies and a PFLAG National Board Member.
We usually have these events in person at Indian Harvest Restaurant as they have been such great supporters to Changemakers. Let's continue to support them!
If you are local, a portion of your ticket price will be used to provide a packaged afternoon snack that you can pick up that day from Indian Harvest in Naperville. https://theindianharvest.com/ Please also consider ordering dinner that evening from them as well! A special family menu will be created by Indian Harvest for Changemakers. You can pick up your food order anytime after noon until the event. Please call them in advance to let them know you are arriving at (630) 579-9500.
Everyone who picks up food will also get a free copy of the book Me and White Supremacy. We will discuss it together at a later date. https://www.meandwhitesupremacybook.com/
If you are not local, your ticket price will be used to purchase food to drop off at our local homeless shelter.
YOU WILL RECEIVE A LINK TO JOIN THE MEETING THE DAY BEFORE THE EVENT.
Please watch the film on Netflix or https://www.moviesaitns.com/movie/evening-shadows
