Bollywood Heels is a dance style that Swarali developed with her training in Jazz technique and over 10 years of experience working in the Bollywood Industry!!!! Straight from the heart of Bombay, Swarali brings in some authentic Bollywood moves but on HEELS!! She is the first one to introduce this style commercially to the United States. Since its conception in April 2017, Swarali has been spreading her passion and her message across multiple workshops in New York, New Jersey, LA, Kansas, and Chicago! With future ones scheduled in Boston, DC, and Cincinnati in spring of 2018!! Bollywood Heels is a part of a larger empowering workshop titled, "Kamariya". 

Kamariya is an empowering Bollywood workshop that focuses on self-confidence, social relatedness, and acceptance of one's body. We strive hard to generate an environment of support and empowerment. 1) Is this class for beginners?

a) The level of class is modified depending on the dance level of its participants. 

2) Do I need dance experience? 

a) Having dance experience is helpful but you DON'T NEED DANCE EXPERIENCE. 

3) Can I dance without heels?

a) Yes!! You can try the class with shoes on even barefoot!

4) Can boys join? 

a) Yessss!! We don't discriminate :) Anyone and Everyone is welcome to join! 

5) How do I continue practicing after class is done? 

a) Every class is filmed and the final video is provided to the students to share and practice! 

6) What do I wear for class? 

a) Wear anything that makes you feel comfortable and confident! You don't have to stick to sweaty dancewear. Get wild, get experimental, put on makeup, do your hair! Or come straight from work, whatever you wanna do, it's your class, it's all up to you! 

7) Where is the studio? 

a) The class takes place at Gibney Studios, 280 Broadway, Downtain Manhattan. Closest to the A, C, R, 4, 5, 2, 3, J and Z line.
