This lantern workshop is hosted by Chantelle Rytter and the Krewe of the Grateful Gluttons for the 7th Atlanta BeltLine Lantern Parade on September 10, 2016! Hold up a light for the BeltLine! Your participation is what makes the magic! More Lantern Parade information, history, and the complete Lantern Workshop Series at Art on the BeltLine..
This lantern workshop is for adults. Kids are welcome at Saturday's lantern workshop at the Museum!
This is a special workshop to make lanterns inspired by the amazing collection at the Carlos Museum. Relax with an artisanal beer from Orpheus Brewing and a private tour of the collections. We will be tricking out 20” paper globe lanterns with colored papers, glue, and marker. The lanterns attach to a 5’ bamboo pole and have a 3-LED battery operated light. These lanterns can be as simple or complex as you wish. You can easily finish in an hour or you can luxuriate with fabulous details and take whatever paper you need to finish at home! All materials, light, and batteries included. Tickets are non-refundable. Please do your best to arrive on time. Thanks!
Parking is available at the Fishburne and Oxford Road parking decks. Fishburne is free after 5 pm and Oxford is free after 7 pm. Both are free on the weekends. http://carlos.emory.edu/visit/directions-parking
