Artists for Animals Presents: Concert for Kindness

Artists for Animals will present the 2017 Concert for Kindness at 6:00 pm on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Dallas City Performance Hall (2520 Flora St, Dallas, TX 75201). The doors will open at 6:00 pm for a silent auction featuring rescue animal artwork, gift baskets, and original drawings and paintings from the Advanced Life Drawing students at Booker T. Washington School for the Arts. At 7:00 pm Hannigan and musicians from Dallas Symphony Orchestra and Southern Methodist University will play a classical music score to complement the visuals on display: artwork, photography, and videography by Berg and other local artists. Wine, desserts, and coffee will be served during the silent auction. Berg, a photographer, and Erin Hannigan, Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s Principal Oboe, first began Artists for Animals by fusing their talents of photography and music several years ago in support of animal rescue charities in North Texas. Since then the organization has grown, attracting more and more artists around North Texas. For the first time ever, Avant Chamber Ballet will perform a set during the show.
