Join Forest Lawn
Museum for a discussion on aerial photography, presented in conjunction with the current exhibition The Elevated Eye: Aerial Photography Past
and Present. During the 30-minute talks, photographer David Maisel, a 2018
Guggenheim Fellow in the Creative Arts whose work is featured in the exhibition,
will discuss aerial photography and destruction of the environment, and Dr.
Laura Danly, curator at the Griffith Observatory, will speak about astronomy
and ecology.
A Q&A with James Fishburne, PhD, Director of Forest Lawn
Museum and curator of The Elevated Eye
will follow.
Refreshments will be served at the conclusion of the event.
The event begins at 4:00 PM on Saturday, January 25, 2020. Free
exhibition tours of The Elevated Eye:
