A Course in Miracles is a complete self-study spiritual thought system. It teaches that the way to universal love and peace—or remembering God—is by undoing guilt through forgiving others. The Course thus focuses on the healing of relationships and making them holy. A Course in Miracles also emphasizes that it is but one version of the universal curriculum, of which there are “many thousands.” Consequently, even though the language of the Course uses Judeo-Christian symbolism, it expresses a non-sectarian, non-denominational spirituality. A Course in Miracles therefore is a universal and non-dualistic spiritual teaching, not a religion.
COST: $20 Suggested. No one will be turned away for an inability to contribute. RSVP is not required. Drop-ins always welcome. Bring your copy of ACIM with you. We have a limited number of copies on hand to share.
This group is open to new and experienced course students alike. While the ACIM represents a self-study curriculum, we gather together so to support each other as we process its effects on our daily lives. Our meetings include a time to check in, a brief meditation, and a discussion of a section of the text and workbook. Additional teachings are brought in as needed. In this space, you can ask questions or offer insights without fear of judgement.
Gatherings are facilitated by Joe Iadanza, director of The Living Room and a long-time student of ACIM. If you have any questions, drop him a line at info@livingroomstudio.org
