The 31st Annual Deepavali Festival takes place October 7th, 2018 at the South Street Seaport, New York.



This FREE event is the oldest and largest Indian Festival of its kind in the United States and we would like to invite you and your family to come celebrate our culture with the entire community!

A full day of attractions for the entire family from music, dance, theater, fashion, food, FIREWORKS and so much more!


NAACH INFERNO, our annual inter-collegiate dance competition presented by StarPlus returns for its 6th year in a row. If you are a college/university dance team, please reach out to divya@desi.nyc to participate and win CASH, bragging rights and a special segment on Star Plus!

UK based Urban Desi & Punjabi Folk artist Jaz Dhami will be performing all his hits and new releases LIVE! His most popular song High Heels was the biggest song of 2012/2013 and then again in 2016/2017 when it was picked up by the T-Series Bollywood movie - Ki and Ka - starring Arjun Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Jaz Dhami is the only Indian artist to have a masterpiece collaboration to launch BBC Music with names such as Stevie Wonder, Pharrell Williams, Emeli Sande, Elton John, Kylie Minogue, One Direction, Sam Smith and many more.
