Jazz Age Lawn Party is going on. So why not take advantage of the live Jazz music playing and folks walking around like extras of the Great Gatsby. The idea is for all of us to enjoy a nice Saturday afternoon with a relaxing 1920's style picnic.
Last year we had a blast but let's do it bigger & better !!
My picnic event is FREE * and it is outside of the gates of the official JALP event (If you want to attend the official Jazz Age Lawn Jazz Party inside the gates, you need a ticket, that is currently only available online) The only^ costs involved is whatever you bring to the picnic, and the $2 roundtrip for the Ferry if you arrive after noon :D
Feel free to dress up to look the part. Once you are on the fe...rry you get flashbacks of the Titanic. I might break out the suspenders for this one.
Don't forget the suntan lotion, sunglasses, blanket/towel to lay on, small coolers, bug spray, baskets,something to drink, and a snack or meal to share. and bring plenty of water !!
There are some great spots we can claim to enjoy the day on Hay Road
^ If you want to sit in our picnic V.I.P. section and have nothing to bring (food or drink) but want us to share. Suggested donation is: $5 to cover costs.
