102.9 WMGK is creating a one-of-a-kind gallery featuring a rare collection of artwork, fine art photographs, posters and more from the greatest rock artists of all time at the Willow Grove Park Mall (lower level next to J.C. Penney), 2500 W. Moreland Road (at Old Welsh Road), Willow Grove, beginning Friday, December 16th through Christmas Eve, Saturday, December 24th. The 102.9 ‘MGK Classic Rock Art Show & Sale showcases an amazing collection of works featuring Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, The Doors, Bruce Springsteen, The Police, Santana, Ringo Starr, Guns N'Roses, Pink Floyd, The Beatles and much more. Highlighting this years' show will be a live appearance from Denny Laine on Friday, December 16 through Sunday, December 18th. Denny will showcase his new artwork as well as perform brief acoustic sets for the customers. In the Spring of 1976, Paul McCartney introduced Philadelphia to his new band Wings with two sold out shows at the Spectrum. This historic tour featuring state-of-the-art sound and a cutting edge laser light show would mark the only time Wings performed in Philadelphia. The concert tour resulted in a live triple album entitled Wings Over America, a top 10 single (Maybe I'm Amazed), a Wings Over the World TV special and a film entitled Rock Show. To celebrate the 40th anniversary of this groundbreaking tour, 102.9 ‘MGK has set up a special exhibit within the art show featuring hand signed artwork from Paul McCartney, fine art photographs from Linda McCartney and the debut of Wings guitarist Denny Laine's artwork. Denny will make a special appearance at the 102.9 ‘MGK Classic Rock Art Show & Sale to meet and greet fans and introduce his new artwork. Denny will appear only during the opening three days of the exhibit, Friday, December 16th through Sunday, December 18th. Admission is free and all works are available to purchase.
