Houston’s Grand Opera Presents Elektra

Present by Houston’s Grand Opera, you’ll get to see this wonderful classic that is set to last for an hour and 41 minutes without an intermission. The one-act tragedy that was adapted into an opera show by Richard Strauss will electrify you and horrify you simultaneously.

An Ancient Story Of Revenge

The original story of Elektra, an ancient Greek tragedy, will be told and highlighted by mesmerizing music. Set in ancient Greece, the main character, Elektra, attempts to seek revenge after her father’s death. She is pitched against her father’s murderers, her own mother and her mother’s lover, as she plots, plays, and plans. The audience learns to root for her as she moves through the plot, and her captivating story is highlighted by an amazing orchestral performance.
