If you’re dying to get traditional with some old-fashioned, festive fun, then you won’t want to miss the 2017 Texas Renaissance Festival, open through Thanksgiving weekend in Todd Mission, Texas this year. Now in its 43rd season, this year’s activities offer plenty of entertainment and the opportunity to experience some Renaissance culture.

The Texas Renaissance Festival is the biggest and most well-known renaissance festival in the United States, and will give you the chance to experience the 16th century with plenty of old-fashioned fun. You’ll get to see live entertainment from this century, learn about the creation of products made by artists and craftspeople, and you’ll also get to experience plenty of wonderful menu choices and beverages. Plus, there will be plenty of rides and games as well as old-fashioned characters dressed in costume, offering plenty of fun for the entire family.

With over 55 acres to explore, once you walk into the festival, you’ll be transported back in time to the 16th century and witness the beauty of New Market Village, a recreation of a traditional 16th century English town. You’ll have over 400 shops to explore, and plenty of other fun activities to partake in.

Over Thanksgiving weekend, you have the opportunity to experience a Celtic Christmas, from November 24th to November 26th, starting at 9AM each day. The event will be held at 21778 FM 1774 in Todd Mission, Texas.
