Groove It Up At LA’s Annual Mariachi Festival

Groove It Up At LA’s Annual Mariachi Festival

On November 19th at the MTA Goldline, Mariachi Plaza Station, the Mariachi Plaza Festival Foundation is holding its 27th Annual Mariachi Festival. You’ll get the opportunity to witness live Mariachi performances by some of the world’s most famous Mariachi bands, and a bevy of other fun including great shopping, and excellent food.

Live Mariachi Music

The Mariachi Festival will feature several live Mariachi bands, including Mariachi Los Reyes de Los Angeles, one of the most popular mariachi bands in the world, Mariachi Garibaldi de Jaime Cuéllar, Mariachi Los Toros, Mariachi Voz de America, Mariachi Tierra Azteka, and Boyle Heights Mariachi Conservatory. Besides the bands, there will be other live entertainment including folklorico dancers, arts, photos, art shows, food, and informational booths.

If you’re dying to try some of the food at this event, then know you’ll be given a wide variety of choices including pupusas from Un Solo Sol Kitchen, fruit salads from Fuillen’s Fruits and Vegies, and several selections in tacos, burritos, and quesadillas.

Founded in 2010, the Mariachi Plaza Festival Foundation is made up of several local organizations that help put on the Mariachi Festival. The goal of this foundation is to share and celebrate Mariachi Culture, and to keep its presence active and alive in local communities.
