The 8th Annual Hamilton Park BBQ Festival is happening on Pavonia Avenue in Jersey City this year on September 23rd. From Noon to 8 PM, both you and your family can enjoy some special family time, live music, and great barbeque.
Every year, the Hamilton Park BBQ Festival focuses on celebrating the end of summer by getting the neighborhood crowd together for a day of fun and excellent food. By participating, you not only get to socialize with the local community, but also benefit those that are part of it. The Hamilton Park BBQ Festival’s earned proceeds go to assist the Hamilton Park Conservancy. The Hamilton Park Conservancy helps to maintain, improve, and preserve the Hamilton Park area.
Several excellent local restaurants will be dishing out food to guests. These vendors include Delaney Barbecue, Ahri’s Kitchen, GP’s Restaurant, Dinosaur Barb-B-Que, Pennsylvania’s Jimmy’s BBQ, Hamilton Pork, and Pet Shop JC. The Pet Shop will be serving vegetarian options.
Live entertainment and music will play throughout the day. A wide selection of craft and art vendors will be present to shop from. Also, there will be many activities to keep kids entertained, including a bouncy castle and face-painting.
Each annual Hamilton Park BBQ Festival holds a contest to select a free VIP. The person that wins the VIP contest gets free food and beer from the NJ Beer Company for themselves and one other guest. If you want to enter the contest, visit the Hamilton BBQ Festival Facebook page. Mark that you are attending the event. A random winner will be selected prior to the festival.
