Check Out The Aviary Opening Up This Summer!

Mar 11, 2017 Tara Geigel

The Aviary, a spectacular cocktail bar, will be arriving at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel this summer. Chef Grant Achatz will transport the Chicago-based bar and bring a similar concept to New York City. The Aviary first opened in Chicago in April 2011, which gained notoriety for creating boundary-pushing cocktails. Drinks were concocted in a way that worked with together with chefs and ice sculptors. Because of how elaborate the drinks were, cocktails could cost upwards of $195.

The Aviary in New York City will have a slightly different feel than its Chicago location. This new location will intertwine NYC bar history, which will be reflected in the cocktails and food. Grant Achatz has been hinting at the new project for quite some time through social media. The Aviary will also have incredible views of New York making the experience unlike any other.
