This summer, The People Tree is proud to offer Improv Comedy workshops with Tiffani Desrosiers! These small, interactive classes will be held at the Alive Center; 500 West 5th Ave, Naperville, IL 60563. Signup by June 1st to reserve your spot!
WHAT IS IMPROV COMEDY? Improv is comedy made up on the spot and in the moment. The scenes or games are driven by suggestions from the audience. For example, during a Show, the host may ask the audience to shout out a relationship between two people, like Doctor and Patient. The Improvisers would then take that suggestion to craft their scenes.
WHO? Improv comedy is as much for the “funny” friend in the group, as the shy one! It teaches mindfulness, alleviates social anxiety and can be a great confidence builder for teens. Business Professionals, Professional Athletes, and Actors regularly practice Improv comedy to improve their Interpersonal Skills – like public speaking, creative thinking and regulating mental and emotional health.
Cost: $100 per session. Registration closes on June 1st!
