If you're a regular at FRESHFARM markets, we're willing to bet that, like us, the sight of all that delicious local food has you dreaming up lots of wonderful creations to keep you fed throughout the week. Are you ready to take you market cooking game up a notch? FRESHFARM is partnering with Proof to bring you farmers market cooking classes with Executive Chef Austin Fausett.
On select Thursdays, you can sign up to tour and shop the market with Chef Austin, selecting fresh produce, meat, and other market goods. You'll then head just around the block to Proof, where Chef Austin will lead a cooking class, then participants will share their meal with wine pairings.
The first class is Thursday, May 25th and will focus on how to make gnocchi, so sign up today! Each class is $60 per person, or you can sign up for the series of four classes for $200. Classes will meet at the FRESHFARM Penn Quarter market (on the corner of 7th & F Street) at 5:15pm and will conclude at 7:00pm.
The FRESFARM Proof Cooking Series will take place on the following dates:
May 25 - Farmers market cooking class with wine pairings
June 29 - Charcuterie class with wine pairings
August 3 - Burrata Class and wine pairing
Sept 14 - Pork and Pinot Noir Class and Tasting
