Ambi Subramaniam, hailed as “the new king of Indian classical violin” (The Times of India), will lecture, perform, and teach technique in the art of Carnatic violin on Wednesday, April 8 at 6 p.m. at the Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts, 915 E. 60th Street, and Thursday, April 9 at 6:30 p.m. at the Indo-American Center, 6328 N. California Ave. in Chicago’s West Ridge neighborhood.
Subramaniam has performed at the prestigious Dussehra Festival at the Mysore Palace, the Menuhin Festival in Gstaad, the Lincoln Center Out of Doors Festival, Chicago’s Jay Pritzker Pavilion, and many more. He has performed at TEDx events to expose new audiences to Carnatic music.
