#GREATPHL19 RETURNS FOR 2019 AS A 24-HOUR IDEA FESTIVAL MARATHON
More than 24 speakers lined up for groundbreaking ‘endurance learning’ thought leader fest on October 4th.
Last year, GREATPHL debuted as a day-long, wide-ranging ideas fest that drew thought leaders from all areas of Philly life: arts, non-profits, tech, culinary, business -- you name it. During that day, the conference that’s the brainchild of Kismet CoWork’s Christopher Plant saw both the speakers and audience alike forging connections and hatching new ideas.
Expanding on the inaugural year and evolving GREATPHL into a 24 HOUR IDEA FEST (wow), the event will be packed with speakers and creative performances to inspire and delight you from all walks of Philly life: arts, non-profits, tech, culinary, business — you name it! This will be endurance learning at its finest and while you won't want to sleep on a single second of there will be a “zen zone” retreat to recharge the mind, body, and personal devices.

This 24-hour idea festival marathon is meant to celebrate all that is Philadelphia at this moment, and where we are headed in the future. It is often said that we are in the midst of a great renaissance of culture, new business, population growth and the highly coveted increase in both national and international tourism.
GREATPHL is a celebration and examination that asks, where do we go from here?
“This is what we’ll call ‘endurance learning,’” says Plant. “I am hoping that GREATPHL becomes the inflection point where many of the greatest things that are happening in Philadelphia right now really come together.”
As was the case last year, the speakers and performers for #GREATPHL19 were all chosen because they have a very specific and unique Philadelphia story. Our goal was to present active and engaged citizens of our city that were committed to being a part of the solutions that can help this city continue to grow but flourish in a way that supports every demographic, every culture and every person. We will always be a city of us and them unless we move towards becoming a more collaborative and cooperative community. These independent and thoughtful voices will help open our minds to celebrate our futures, learn from our past and create a stronger, more unified present in an untraditional theatrical format.
