What classes will be offered?
- Art Club- your camper is invited to engage in coloring and painting during this self directed class.
- Ballet Basics- fundamental ballet dance technique suitable for beginners or those who haven't taken ballet in awhile. This class is designed to offer a supportive and friendly environment welcoming all genders and body types. Upon registration you will be asked to choose either "ballet" or an extra "hip hop dance" class.
- Book Club- campers get to read a short story, discuss it, and reenact the story of select scenes.
- Craft Corner- learn to make your own pencil holder, tackle a Lego challenge, make a fridge magnet and other fun projects.
- Create Your Own Dance- how do choreographers come up with dance moves for dancers? What makes a dance interesting to look at? Your dancer becomes the choreographer as we explore what makes a dance and collaborate to create routines together.
- Drama Club- students go beyond speaking in the school play. From commercials, to television, to theater, campers will have the opportunity to dive into different acting techniques every week.
- Fashion Club- upon registration campers may select a craft activity or a sewing based activity. Sewing projects may include making your own purse/ tote bag. Designing doll clothes. Making your scrunchie, or designing your own clothes. A sewing machine is not required for Fashion Club. If your camper has a sewing machine they would like to use during camp. please indicate this at registration.
- Neighbor, Neighbor!- guests speakers from around the world meet with campers to share a little bit about their work or their daily life.
- Yoga Games- traditional yoga poses are gamified in this high energy class. By the end of class campers are invited to refocus their energy and reflect on their day.
- Youth Hip Hop Dance- students learn old school hip hop dance moves, new dance trends, and how to follow choreography. We do a few basic break dance moves, but this is not a b-boy class. All campers will have Hip Hop on Wednesdays. On Fridays your camper may either take a 2nd hip hop dance class or ballet.
