The LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance Housing Symposium is a two-day event which explores issues impacting the community’s journey through homeownership.
Including keynote addresses by Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) and by Congresswoman Angie Craig (D-MN), policy addresses from the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development, the National Association of Realtors, and The National Fair Housing Alliance. In addition, the Symposium will feature hot-topic panels with numerous speakers from a variety of leading housing and LGBTQ+ civic organizations, government entities, and real estate industry leaders. Discussions will include the future of the Equality Act, the impact of HUD’s recent stance on discrimination against LGBTQ+ people, Fair Housing and Policy updates at NAR, discrimination and the mortgage industry, commentary on the Biden administration’s efforts to improve the lives of LGBTQ+ people and so much more.
The Alliance will also debut its first Housing Review which examines how discrimination from youth to “golden” years impacts LGBTQ+ homeownership levels
