This month, you’ll have the opportunity to try out a 5K race that will allow you to be innovative with your appearance and allow you to create a loud fashion statement? Houston’s Color in Motion 5K Race is a unique event that encourages you to utilize a Mega Color Blaster to emphasize color as outrageously as you want to. The race will also help raise money and awareness for a nonprofit charity called Girls On The Run of Greater Houston, which benefits girls in the 3rd and 8th grade and educates them about confidence and health.
The Color in Motion 5K race begins with thousands of participants in white shirts who are then painted with color as they experience the Mega Color Blaster. After that, runners experience four more color stations, and each time they’ll get blasted with more and more color. As the runners partake in being blasted at each color station, music will be blasted to keep runners amped as they hit the track. After that, each runner is awarded with a race medal, and then heads to the Color Bash Party. At the party, a live DJ will play music and offer free prizes as well as more color blasting.
The Color in Motion 5K race takes place on Saturday, February 24, 2018 starting at 9 AM. The event will take place at Houston’s Sam Houston Race Park. Ticket prices are listed below,.
On Friday, February 23, 2018, you’ll be able to pickup your packet from 1 PM until 7 PM at Houston’s Ground Up Athletics. If you’d like to obtain more information about the Color in Motion 5K race, please visit the event’s website here.
