Experience a forgotten
language, discover a lost tragic chapter of #history and be a part of honoring
the Sephardic Jews of Greece—all through the music of Sarah Aroeste, a singer
and songwriter of #Ladino, the Judeo-Spanish language of the Sephardic
Jews.
The #Sephardim were the thriving Jewish community in #Greece with origins in #Spain, until the
#Holocaust tragically erased them from history.
“Remembering the Jews of
Greece: A Musical Journey” is a concert
experience like no other—a multimedia performance featuring songs new and old
in Ladino, sound clips, videos, and live music to resurrect the Sephardim’s
culture and language.
Sarah Aroeste is
joined by the famous Israeli pianist and producer Shai Bachar and
the founder of the Greek Chamber Music Project, flutist Ellie Falaris Ganelin.
Join these talented musicians as they turn back the wheels of time. Through
remembering of history’s dark moments, they hope to bring forth brighter days
to come.
