The Oregon Intervention System (OIS) is Oregon's system of training and
implementing the principles of Positive Behavior Support and Intervention to
staff that support adults and children with Intellectual/Developmental
Disabilities (I/DD) that may display challenging behaviors.
In order to take this Online Training - YOU MUST DOWNLOAD THE ZOOM APP PRIOR TO THE CLASS DATE
The online portion of this Training takes place 9am to 4pm the first 2 days - You will be sent a zoom link 8am the day of the training. You are requested to sign in early to be sure your audio and video are working before class starts at 9am
Important COVID Information that impacts the (PPI) Protective Physical Intervention portion of this training.
NO IN Person Trainings are allowed this month. After you take the two day curriculum training with me. You will be required to complete a quiz. If you pass the quiz with an 80% you will be able to register and view a supervised PPI Webinar. Once you have successfully completed this webinar, I will issue you a Temporary OIS Certificate that will be good for 60 days after COVID mandates are lifted. Once lifted you will register (at no cost) for one of my next PPI in person trainings. Once you have attended and participated in the PPI in person training you will receive a 2 year OIS Certificate.
The PPI Webinar dates are as follows, you will be able to register for these once you have passed the exam. These webinars are from 1pm to 3pm on the following dates

After COVID mandates are lifted the face-to- face in person Protective Physical Intervention skills training and practice will be in Keizer OR. Allow 3-4 hours for this portion which starts at 9am. I will send out a list of dates for you to choose from for the PPI in person training after COVID mandates have been lifted.
